New site Inkpill.com tracks designers on Twitter

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—A Twitter aggregation company recently launched a website pooling Twitter feeds from more than 130 designers. Sawhorse Media’s InkPill.com allows anyone to view individual Twitter accounts of a certain designer. The front page lists real-time tweets aggregated from the 130 accounts.

Gregory Galant of Brooklyn-based Sawhorse Media says around 250 designers have requested to join InkPill.com’s aggregation page since its launch in late April. Staff look over each account to make sure it’s updated often and comes from a designer.

InkPill.com compiles Twitter feeds from graphic designers, art directors, illustrators, type designers, Web designers and UX designers.

“Twitter can be big and confusing,” Galant says in an interview, “and we think aggregation sites can make the service more manageable.”

The majority of designers on InkPill.com are American. Canadian designers aggregated on the site include Kimberley Beaven of BlueWave Media in Kitchener, freelance Web designer Jon Phillips from Montreal, and Edmonton designer Lea Alcantara.

Sawhorse Media has also released Twitter aggregators of journalists (MuckRack.com), celebrities (GiantRedCarpet.com), musicians (musicians.musebin.com), venture capitalists (VentureMaven.com) and pets (thepetfeed.com). Contact: inkpill.com
