U.K. interactive agency sets its sights on Toronto
LONDON, UK—Interactive ad agency Red Urban, with five offices across the U.S. and Europe, has announced it will expand into Canada in early 2010. According to a press release, the agency has decided to look at the current market conditions as an opportunity for growth.

“We tell our clients that this is the time to invest, so we should too. We believe Canada is the place to do it; there’s great potential in the Canadian market,” said managing director Mike Jefferies, in the release. He was unavailable for further comment.

Its new Toronto office will follow Red Urban’s open source model, driven by marketing agencies owned by Omnicom, which acquired the eight-year-old agency in 2006.

New staff and client announcements have not yet been made but Red Urban’s current client list includes Guinness, Microsoft, Red Bull and AT&T.

“Soon, Red Urban will provide top Canadian brand marketers with the creative business solutions they’ve been seeking but aren’t finding in other agencies,” said Jefferies.

Red Urban is currently pursuing Canadian partners to help create branding and business solutions through their new Toronto office. Contact: www.redurban.com
