WINDSOR—After being laid off from his art director position at Hargreaves Stewart, an advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Windsor, designer Shane Potvin has launched his own business.

“I felt like I reached a plateau,” says Potvin, in an email to Design Edge Canada. “I was tired of the typical ‘agency format’ and creative conflicts. I would like to build a relationship with other creatives and work with them on a per-project basis. I would like to also branch out of the region and acquire work based on my unique style.”
