Vancouver design firm lands highly caffeinated project
VANCOUVER—They’re sure to be bouncing off the walls at Vancouver-based Subplot Design after just signing on to create a new brand identity and packaging for Level Ground Trading coffee company of Victoria, B.C. Subplot partner Matthew Clark says the preliminary inspiration for the project is coming from Level Ground, which is truly putting its money where its mouth is.
“They are all direct, fair trade coffees,” he says. “They have relationships with all the companies that they buy the coffee of. They don’t sell co-op, they actually go to the countries, find farmers, meet farmers and grow the coffees directly with them.” Preliminary work on the project will be completed for the company in a few months, says Clark, including print and online work and a new logo mark.
