Brady Dahmer Design gets in Olympic spirit with Petro Canada
VANCOUVER—Local design company Brady Dahmer Design got into the Olympic spirit by designing a series of products for Petro Canada. The project started when BDD met with Vancouver-based uniform outfitters company Moving Products to design an Olympic pattern for Petro Canada staff jackets during the games, says Brady Dahmer, principal and founder of BDD.
The project then spun into more and more Olympic-focused products for Petro Canada, from gift cards and press kit folders to eight uniquely designed tanker trucks. “Pretty well all of the materials beyond traditional advertising we pulled together for them,” says Dahmer. “As with everything, the project expanded as the budget was available.”
BDD started work on the project last spring, and Dahmer says the crux of the design was bringing together the Petro Canada branding with the Vancouver Organizing Committee’s branding for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. “We wanted to make it feel like part of the action using the Olympic identity and the leaf from Petro Canada.” Contact: Movingproducts.com, Bradydahmer.com, Petro-canada.ca
