Magazines Canada hosts first annual Best on Page Awards

TORONTO—Magazines Canada recently hosted the first annual Best on Page Awards, celebrating the best in Canadian magazine advertising creative.

The packed house of advertising and publishing industry members at Toronto's St. Lawrence Market were treated to live boxing matches in a regulation-size boxing ring which set the tone for the event.

The 2010 Best on Page Awards Gold winners are:

Best Full Page or DPS: "Barbell"

Best on Page Awards attendees also voted on 150 award-winning ads from around the world and crowned the top three People’s Choice Award winners.

And the People’s Choice winner is:

Monster.com for Stuck in the wrong job, “Soldier”, from JWT, Hong Kong.

Second place honours go to Mattel Canada Hot Wheels, Celebrating 40 Years, “Cake”, from Ogilvy and Mather, Canada.
