CARLSTADT, N.J.—Pantone has just announced its latest colour matching system Pantone Plus, which adds 566 new colours to its catalogue.

With an additional 224 solid, 300 metallic and 42 neon colours, the system has implemented an intuitive chromatic arrangement. Other features include the new ColourChecker Lighting Indicator, which shows if colour evaluation is optimal under current lighting conditions.

A free software upgrade is available for those who purchase the Pantone Plus system. And spot colours can be converted to CMYK from loaded ICC profiles.

“The Plus series provides designers greater freedom for selecting, specifying and matching colour,” said Ron Potesky, senior vice president and general manager of Pantone, in a release.

The Pantone Plus Series is also accessible via an iPhone application launching in June, myPANTONE, allowing designers to use the system while mobile. Contact: www.pantone.com
