The seven-day event has paired with design and technology festival FITC to kick-off the new interactive conference, which runs June 14 to 16.
“Speakers, panels and workshops are aimed at three groups: web entrepreneurs, web designers and traditional designers,” says Daniel Schutzsmith, FITC Events marketing coordinator.
Much of the discussion at NXNEi will centre on social media. Alan Cross, senior program director for Corus Interactive and Integrated Solutions, will share his expertise on social media and how it can be used in the music industry.
“Other topics will cover state of copyright law on the internet, location awareness websites – like Foursquare.com – and creating WordPress blogs from start to finish,” says Schutzsmith.
NXNE celebrates its 16th year incorporating live music, film screenings, and seminars, which draw music fans, film directors and the music industry.
