Rethink launches app for presenting apps
TORONTO—Rethink has launched the Realizer app, a free application available from the Apple AppStore. The application allows users to upload still images, or even hand-drawn sketches onto their Apple mobile devices to present or pitch concepts and designs for iPad apps to clients.
The Realizer app was created with Nascent Digital and was originally intended for use in-house as a way to pitch iPad application ideas to clients. But, the Realizer app was so good Rethink wanted to share it with the rest of the design community, said creative director Dré Labre. “On the Internet, there are people creating and distributing free tools that we use on a daily basis,” he said. “We live in a take a penny, leave a penny world on the Internet and we wanted to leave a penny.”
The application can be used for multiple purposes and is great for those who want to make an app, but maybe aren’t that tech savvy, said Labre. “The Realizer allows you to prototype presentations by making still images a bit more interactive,” he said. “There is an ‘add’ button so you can fake interactivity. It is a way for people who aren’t technically proficient to create mockups and use them on their devices in a way that can be interacted with. Users can show off an idea, or test an idea without committing to programming it so you can see if it makes sense for users.”

maybe launch an app for apps that present apps? when will it end. seriously, the app thing is getting saturated and 'consumers' will soon move on -- as they do after the hype of most tech toys. remember when everyone was launching a blog?

I remember these types of "applications" back in the day, they were once called "shareware" and nobody wanted to pay for them even then.
