"He was an incredibly talented graphic artist," reads the site. "Carl was an extremely kind and creative man who loved life, music and all things collectible."

Born in 1937 and educated in Toronto, Nesbitt established his own commercial design firm and moved to Victoria, BC in 1989 where he continued his work. Along with fundraising for various causes, he also served as president of the Victoria Art Gallery "for several years".

John Daley of Bolton, ON, shared a memory of Nesbitt through the funeral home's online guestbook. "I worked with Carl at Glen Graphics in Toronto during the late 70s to early 80s. He was an extremely talented graphic designer with a great sense of humour," noted Daley.

A service will be held at the Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra St., in Victoria, BC, on Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
