Colour lands design contract for health human resources website
HALIFAX—Communications and marketing agency Colour is now the creative force behind a new Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF) national website for health human resources (HHR) professionals, a project made possible through a $250,000 grant from Health Canada earlier this year.
Colour was one of four creative firms to be approached for the project, noted Alana Andrews of the NSHRF. Colour had "a strong presentation and fit well with our team. We also liked the work that they had done for other clients," Andrews noted regarding the final selection.
While the NSHRF already has a website, the HHR Toolkit site will be a stand-alone entity built from scratch with no design restraints, she noted.
Colour will collaborate with the NSHRF to create "a user-friendly and interactive website that HHR planners and decision makers will use across Canada," reads a release on the project. The site will be available in French and English, set to go live in winter 2012.
“Colour is thrilled to have been chosen to develop, design and brand a website for the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation,” said Chris Keevill, president and chief executive officer of Colour. “Our team looks forward to working with the NSHRF to create a valuable and long-lasting tool for users across the country.”
While the NSHRF received a $250,000 Health Canada grant, that is not a reflection of the value of the website design contract, noted Andrews. "Not all of this funding will go to Colour," she said in an email. "This is the full Health Canada funding for the entire project. We are still in the process of designing the website, so the official amount to Colour is not yet known."
The NSHRF’s mission is to improve the health of Nova Scotians through health research.
