Canadian design studios earn honours at Summit International Awards
PORTLAND, OR—Canadian design studios were among those recently honoured with a 2012 Summit Creative Award recognizing creativity of individuals and firms with annnual billing under $30 million.
Among the winners was Lebow, a small advertising and design studio in Toronto, which picked up a gold for logo/identity and silvers in the B2B logo/trademark and consumer newspaper campaigns categories.
“Being able to bring home three more trophies, while competing on a global scale, and knowing that I'm working all alone in a home-office environment is a huge accomplishment," noted Ronnie Lebow, the studio's sole 'brand builder.'
Other Canadian firms picked up several honours in various categories. Twist Marketing in Calgary earned eight awards, including two golds, one in the community website category for work for the Elkford Community, and the other for Call Sheila recruitment in the B2B media campaign.
Phoenix Group in Regina, SK came away with six awards; OneMethod in Toronto won five, including golds in the consumer product website and guerrilla marketing campaign categories.
The Brand Factory in Toronto won 10 awards, including five bronzes and five silvers, while RSA in Toronto picked up five wins including a gold in the large commercial video category.
Summit Creative Award (SCA) is part of the Summit International Awards, which also offers the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award and the Summit Emerging Media Award.
